Brad Pitt was notably absent from daughter Zahara Jolie’s graduation ceremony at Spelman College, while Angelina Jolie attended the event alongside sons Knox Jolie-Pitt, Pax Jolie-Pitt, and Maddox Jolie-Pitt.

Zahara graduated with a degree in psychology during the commencement ceremony in Atlanta over the weekend. Videos from the event quickly spread online after she was introduced as “Zahara Marley Jolie,” appearing to once again leave out “Pitt” from her surname. The moment reignited discussions surrounding the family’s strained relationship with Brad Pitt.

Angelina was seen proudly cheering for Zahara throughout the ceremony and celebrating alongside her children. Knox also drew attention online, with many fans pointing out his striking resemblance to Brad Pitt during the public appearance.

Reports surrounding the event claimed Pitt neither attended the graduation nor publicly acknowledged the milestone. The absence further fueled speculation that tensions between the actor and several of his children remain unresolved years after his split from Angelina Jolie in 2016.

This is not the first time Zahara has publicly used only the Jolie surname. She previously introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during her sorority induction ceremony in 2023, a move that had already sparked conversations about her bond with her father.
