Who is Joseph Duggar? TV personality requests court order amendment
Joseph Duggar seeks court order change to regain unsupervised contact with his biological children in new filing

Reality television personality Joseph Duggar is seeking a modification to a court order that currently prevents him from having unsupervised contact with minors as he faces child sex crime charges in Florida.
According to court proceedings in Bay County, Florida, Duggar’s legal team filed a motion requesting changes to the existing no-contact order, asking the court to allow him unsupervised contact with his biological children. Duggar did not personally appear during the latest hearing, though his attorneys attended on his behalf.
Duggar was arrested in Arkansas in March on a warrant issued in Bay County and has since pleaded not guilty to charges including molestation of a child and lewd or lascivious conduct. Authorities allege that Duggar inappropriately touched a 9-year-old child while the victim was vacationing with family in Florida in 2020.
The court scheduled a pretrial hearing for July 14 as the criminal proceedings continue. Duggar is currently out on a $600,000 bond.
In addition to the Florida case, Duggar and his wife, Kendra Duggar, are also facing separate charges in Arkansas related to child endangerment and false imprisonment. Both have pleaded not guilty in that case as well, with another court hearing scheduled for August.
The current no-contact order bars Duggar from unsupervised interaction with anyone under the age of 18. His attorneys are now seeking an exception that would apply specifically to his own children while the criminal case remains ongoing.
The legal developments continue to draw public attention due to Duggar’s connection to a well-known reality television family and the seriousness of the allegations involved, according to local authorities and court filings.
