GTA 6 price revealed for November 2026 release as leak sparks pricing debate
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 2026, with new pricing information emerging from a Dutch retailer that has sparked discussion among players.
A listing from Gameshop Twente has placed the game at €99, approximately $115, although this figure is widely considered unconfirmed and potentially a placeholder or special edition estimate rather than a final retail price.
The listing has prompted debate among gamers, with some stating they would not pay over $100 for a standard release, even for a major franchise entry. However, industry signals suggest the final price may align more closely with current AAA market standards.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick previously indicated that premium titles typically fall within the $70 to $80 range, suggesting that Rockstar’s pricing strategy is unlikely to exceed established norms for standard editions.
Zelnick stated, “Well, for free-to-play titles, yes. For titles for which you've paid 70 or 80 bucks, no,” while also noting concerns about fairness in additional monetisation models in full-priced games.
These comments have been interpreted by some observers as an indication that GTA 6 will likely be positioned within the standard premium pricing tier rather than adopting an extreme price increase at launch.
Zelnick also confirmed that the game is approximately 18 months behind its original internal schedule but reaffirmed the November 2026 release date, stating: “November 19th. I do know.”
He added that Take-Two prioritises development quality over rigid scheduling, referencing past decisions where delays were accepted to improve final output.
With anticipation continuing to build, final pricing for GTA 6 remains unconfirmed, with current figures based on retailer listings and executive commentary rather than official launch announcements.
