Prime Video’s new series Off Campus has overtaken The Boys to become the most-watched show globally, just four days before the superhero drama’s Season 5 finale.

According to FlixPatrol data, Off Campus reached the No. 1 position worldwide only one day after its release on May 13, quickly climbing streaming charts across multiple regions, including the United States.

The series has since remained within the top two positions globally, displacing The Boys from the top spot it had held since its latest season debut.

Off Campus, created by Louisa Levy and adapted from Elle Kennedy’s novel The Deal, has been described as part of a growing subgenre popularised by titles such as Heated Rivalry.

The series follows Hannah Wells, a music student at Briar University, played by Ella Bright, who begins tutoring hockey team captain Garrett Graham, portrayed by Belmont Cameli.

The storyline centres on a fake relationship arrangement intended to make another student jealous, though the dynamic develops into something more complex.

The cast includes Ella Bright, previously seen in Malory Towers, and Belmont Cameli, known for roles in the Saved by the Bell reboot and Along for the Ride.

Off Campus has received early critical response, including a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.3/10 rating on IMDb.

Prime Video had already renewed Off Campus for a second season before its premiere.

The upcoming season is expected to adapt The Mistake, the second book in the series, and will introduce new characters, including John Logan and Grace Ivers, played by India Fowler.

Off Campus Season 1 is currently streaming on Prime Video.
