Drake stunned fans by releasing three albums simultaneously: Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour.

The unprecedented triple release marks Drake’s first solo full-length projects since 2023’s For All the Dogs and arrives nearly two years after his explosive feud with Kendrick Lamar dominated the music world.

Fans immediately combed through the lyrics for references to Lamar, whose 2024 diss track Not Like Us became a cultural phenomenon and won multiple Grammy Awards.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, the three albums appear to reflect different sides of Drake’s current mindset. Iceman includes some of his most direct and introspective material, touching on betrayal, loyalty and the fallout from his highly publicised rap battle with Lamar.

The opening track Make Them Cry also contains a deeply personal revelation, with Drake disclosing that his father, Dennis Graham, has been diagnosed with cancer.

Meanwhile, Habibti leans into melodic and internationally influenced sounds, while Maid of Honour takes a more reflective tone, with cover art featuring a childhood photo of Drake’s mother.

The release has generated intense discussion online, with listeners debating whether the albums represent Drake’s answer to the reputational damage many believe he suffered during his battle with Lamar.

While the lyrics contain references to shifting alliances and former friends, the albums do not centre exclusively on the feud. Instead, they blend personal revelations, industry commentary and emotional introspection.

The surprise drop underscores Drake’s enduring ability to dominate the cultural conversation and sets the stage for what may be one of the most heavily dissected releases of his career.
