Tayler Holder cancels tour to focus on mental health after reaching ‘limit’

Tayler Holder says he reached his 'limit' and is stepping away from touring to focus on mental health

Country musician and social media creator Tayler Holder has cancelled his upcoming When No One’s Around tour, saying he needs to step back and focus on his mental health.

The 28-year-old shared the announcement in an Instagram post on May 12, describing the decision as one of the hardest he has made. Holder said he had been struggling privately for several months and could “no longer ignore” the situation.

“I’ve tried for a while now to put my head down and just push through this and give everything I have to the music and the people who support me, but truthfully, I've reached my limit right now, and I need to take a step back and focus on getting healthy,” Holder wrote.

The singer apologised to fans who had already purchased tickets and made travel arrangements for the tour. “I’m deeply sorry for the disappointment this causes,” he added.

Holder also reflected on the emotional challenges he has experienced despite achieving career success.

“I'm doing everything I've ever dreamed of, and I still feel so lonely, still feel so unfulfilled,” he said. “Performing for you guys is the greatest privilege of my life, and this decision was not made lightly.”

The artist explained that he plans to use the time away from touring to rest and seek support.

“I'm taking this time to rest, seek support, and reconnect with myself away from the pressure and pace of touring,” Holder wrote. “My hope is that this break will allow me to return stronger, healthier, and able to give you guys the performances you deserve.”

His latest song, When No One’s Around, released in April, explores feelings of isolation and personal struggle. In a TikTok post promoting the track, Holder encouraged followers to check on their “happy” friends.

The cancelled tour included planned performances in St. Louis, Kansas City, Atlanta and Jacksonville.
