Croteam and Devolver Digital have officially announced The Talos Principle 3, confirming the upcoming release as the final chapter in the long-running puzzle game series.

The original The Talos Principle launched in December 2014 for PC and Linux, introducing players to a science fiction world centred around philosophical storytelling and environmental puzzle-solving.

Players controlled an android guided by a mysterious figure named Elohim through a series of increasingly complex challenges.

The sequel, The Talos Principle 2, expanded the series’ themes by exploring a future where humanity had been wiped out by climate change, leaving artificial intelligence to continue civilisation within a virtual environment.

According to the newly revealed details for The Talos Principle 3, players will once again awaken in an unfamiliar world filled with abandoned scientific outposts, alien wildlife and crumbling temples.

The story introduces a new location known as the Anomaly, where gravity and the laws of physics appear distorted.

The player character reportedly suffers from fragmented memories and must solve puzzles in an attempt to understand both their identity and the strange environment around them.

The game description suggests uncertainty over whether the goal is to escape or to uncover hidden truths connected to the Anomaly itself.

The series has become recognised among puzzle game audiences for combining philosophical themes with large-scale environmental challenges.

Promotional material released alongside the announcement highlights large alien landscapes and futuristic ruins consistent with the visual style established in previous entries.

Devolver Digital has not confirmed an official release date for The Talos Principle 3. However, the publisher stated that the game is currently planned for release on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
