Actor has reportedly been travelling on a US passport since September 2022

Media reports have claimed that singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been travelling on a US passport since September 2022, sparking speculation that he may have obtained US citizenship.
The artist, who is currently on his AURA World Tour 2026 across North America, has recently been the subject of several Indian media reports regarding his travel documents and residency status.
According to the reports, Dosanjh has allegedly been entering India on an e-visa. It has also been claimed that his last known Indian passport was issued in Mumbai in 2018, while an earlier passport was reportedly issued in Zambia.
Some Indian media outlets have further alleged that his wife, Sandeep Kaur, holds US citizenship. Reports also claim that the singer owns a bungalow in California.
Amid the speculation, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reportedly said he had heard claims of political pressure being placed on Dosanjh to join politics. Speaking on the matter, Mann said: “A few days ago, I heard that Diljit is being pressured by the Bharatiya Janata Party to join politics.”
He added that the musician appears content with his current career and lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Dosanjh’s acting career continues to grow, with Main Vaapas Aunga scheduled for release in June. The singer has also been trending on social media following his Bhangra performance to his song Morni on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
No official confirmation regarding Dosanjh’s citizenship status has been made public so far.
