The latest episode of The Boys delivered one of the show’s most emotional deaths yet, making it clear that anyone could die before the series finale.

Episode 7 ended with Frenchie sacrificing himself after exposing himself to dangerous radiation while helping Kimiko gain powers similar to Soldier Boy’s ability to neutralize Supes. The longtime member of the Boys used the moment to distract Homelander long enough for Kimiko and Sister Sage to escape.

Frenchie, played by Tomer Capone, had been part of the series since its 2019 debut, making him the first major member of the core “good guys” team to die ahead of the finale.

The episode also reinforced growing fears surrounding Butcher, whose increasingly unstable behavior has raised questions about whether he could become just as dangerous as Homelander. Meanwhile, the show continues exploring whether all Supes should be wiped out entirely to stop another tyrant from rising through Vought.

Season 5 has already featured several shocking deaths, including A-Train, Firecracker, and Black Noir II, but Frenchie’s death marks the moment the show fully raises the stakes for its ending.

With Homelander now more powerful than ever and tensions inside the Boys continuing to grow, the final episode is expected to bring even more casualties as the series heads toward its final showdown.
