Paul Anthony Kelly is officially joining the cast of American Horror Story Season 13, marking his latest collaboration with producer Ryan Murphy following his breakout role in FX’s Love Story.
Kelly, who gained attention for portraying John F. Kennedy Jr. in the acclaimed drama series, announced the casting news during Disney’s annual upfront presentation in New York City. The reveal featured several longtime American Horror Story stars, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Billie Lourd and Emma Roberts, who appeared alongside hooded figures before Kelly took the stage to tease his arrival in the horror anthology series.
“I guess every nightmare needs fresh blood, and 13’s my lucky number,” Kelly told the audience during the presentation.
FX has not yet revealed full plot details for American Horror Story Season 13, though the network teased the return of iconic horror elements and fan-favourite characters. The upcoming season will notably feature Paulson reprising her beloved role as Cordelia Goode, originally introduced in Season 3, American Horror Story: Coven.
The cast for Season 13 also includes Ariana Grande, along with returning franchise regulars Kathy Bates and Leslie Grossman. The anthology series remains one of FX’s most successful long-running horror franchises, known for reinventing its storyline and characters each season while bringing back familiar cast members.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story continues to be produced by 20th Television. Production details and an official premiere date for Season 13 are expected to be announced later this year.
