A man accused of stealing unreleased music and confidential tour materials from Beyoncé’s team during her Atlanta tour stop has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to prison.

According to prosecutors, Kelvin Evans accepted a plea deal just before trial Tuesday in connection to the July 2025 theft. He had originally faced up to six years behind bars but ultimately received a five-year sentence, including two years in prison and three years on probation.

The theft happened at a parking garage on Krog Street in Atlanta just days before Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour performances in the city. Members of the singer’s team reported that two suitcases had been stolen from a parked Jeep Wagoneer after its back window was smashed.

Authorities said the stolen items included jump drives containing unreleased watermarked Beyoncé music, future and past set lists, show footage plans, laptops, designer sunglasses, and Apple AirPods Max headphones.

During court proceedings, prosecutors reportedly showed surveillance footage allegedly linking Evans to the theft. Investigators said they tracked the stolen electronics through location pings and identified the suspect vehicle using license plate readers and surveillance cameras.

Police later stopped the vehicle, which belonged to Evans’ niece. Prosecutors alleged she had briefly loaned him the car before he drove to the parking garage, spotted the luggage inside Beyoncé’s team vehicle, and stole the items.

Evans pleaded guilty to one count of entering an automobile, while a second criminal trespass charge was merged into the sentence. Because he was sentenced as a repeat offender, he is not eligible for parole.

His attorney told the court Evans wanted to “put this behind him” and focus on building a better future for himself and his young daughter.
