Tom Burke has officially joined the cast of Please, the upcoming A24 feature from Babygirl writer and director Halina Reijn, according to Variety.

The project will also star Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, who is set to make her acting debut in the film.

Plot details for Please are currently being kept under wraps, but Reijn will both write and direct the feature. Producer David Hinojosa is returning to collaborate with Reijn once again, while A24 will finance and produce the film alongside Reijn’s MAN UP Film banner.

The project marks Reijn’s third collaboration with A24 following the success of Bodies Bodies Bodies and Babygirl. The latter became one of the studio’s strongest global releases, earning more than $64 million worldwide.

Burke continues to build an impressive résumé across film and television. The British actor is best known for roles in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and The Souvenir. He recently appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s thriller Black Bag and is also attached to A24’s upcoming Elden Ring adaptation directed by Alex Garland.

On television, Burke currently stars in the BBC detective series Strike and recently appeared in Netflix’s Legends. He is also set to appear in Amazon Prime Video’s Blade Runner 2099.

Variety first reported Burke’s casting as anticipation grows around Reijn’s next A24 collaboration and Abrams’ transition from music into acting.
