Did Pizza Hut really launch a drinkable pizza covered in cheese and curry?
Pizza Hut has unveiled a limited-time pizza so loaded with melted cheese and curry that it’s being called 'drinkable'

In an announcement on May 11, Pizza Hut introduced one of its strangest menu experiments yet, a so-called “drinkable pizza” that is already turning heads for looking exactly as chaotic as it sounds.
Launched in Japan as a limited-time item, the new "Drinkable Pizza Cheese Curry" combines a hand-tossed crust with an overflowing pool of melted Gouda cheese and rich curry sauce. Pizza Hut described it as “a deliciousness so good you’ll want to drink every last bite,” while noting in the announcement that the filling contains so much cheese it “may overflow” from the crust.
Despite the name catching people off guard, the company insists it is still very much a pizza, just one designed to be unusually molten, saucy, and almost spoonable.
The item comes in several versions. Solo diners can order the "MY BOX Drinkable Pizza Cheese Curry", while larger portions are available for anyone brave enough to share. Each order also includes fries, which may be less of a side dish and more of a practical tool for scooping up the extra cheese and curry.
What makes the release especially attention-grabbing is how far it pushes the playful reputation of Japanese fast-food experimentation. From towering novelty burgers to unusual dessert mashups, major chains in Japan often treat limited-time menus as spectacles, and this may be one of the most extreme examples yet.
For some, it sounds like comfort-food heaven: hot curry, stretchy cheese, and soft crust melting together. For others, it may look more like a dare than dinner.
Either way, Pizza Hut seems to know exactly what it is doing. The dish feels designed not only to be eaten, but to go viral.
The “drinkable pizza” will only be available in Japan through June 15, giving curious fans a short window to decide whether they want a slice, or a sip.
