Showbiz salutes the spirit of 'Marka-e-Haq'

Celebrities praise armed forces for resilience, sacrifice and national defence

Prominent figures from Pakistan's entertainment industry paid tribute to the country's armed forces on the first anniversary of 'Marka-e-Haq', describing the military operation as a defining national moment that strengthened Pakistan's global standing and reinforced public confidence in national defence.

Actors, television personalities and public figures praised the armed forces for their professionalism, sacrifices and commitment to protecting the country, saying the operation had become a symbol of national unity, resilience and strength.

In separate statements and televised messages aired on PTV News, several celebrities said the success of 'Marka-e-Haq' had elevated Pakistan's image internationally and demonstrated the country's ability to respond decisively to external threats.

Film actor Saud, Afzal Khan and Ahsan Khan, TV host Waji Farooqui, designer Yousaf Bashir Qureshi and actor Samiya Asim were among the personalities who spoke about the anniversary. They collectively described the operation as a "proud and defining national moment".

Afzal Khan and Ahsan Khan described 'Marka-e-Haq' as a strong message to the international community, saying that Pakistan's response had reinforced its image as a resilient and powerful nation. They added that Pakistan's success had boosted national morale and highlighted the sacrifices made by military personnel in defending the country.

Saud and Waji Farooqui said the anniversary reflected "courage, determination and unity among the people", adding that Pakistan continued to stand as a symbol of resilience and dignity on the global stage.

Designer Yousaf Bashir Qureshi paid tribute to the armed forces for their "unwavering commitment and resolve" in safeguarding the country, while Samiya Asim honoured the bravery and sacrifices of Pakistan's defenders.

Several other celebrities also linked the operation to improved international perception of Pakistan, claiming the country had gained greater respect globally following the success of 'Marka-e-Haq'. They said Pakistan desired peace and stability but remained fully capable of responding strongly to any aggression.

They added that celebrations marking the anniversary of 'Marka-e-Haq' are taking place across the country, with people from various sectors, including the entertainment industry, expressing solidarity with the armed forces and acknowledging their sacrifices for the nation.
