President Donald Trump is facing backlash after a viral clip from a White House youth fitness event showed him speaking with a young girl about sports.
In the exchange, the girl said she plays volleyball and wants to try soccer in the summer. Trump asked whether, given her height, she can spike the ball or jump high. When she responded that she cannot, he remarked that soccer might be better for her and added that she would be a great soccer player.

The clip has since fueled debate over tone and appropriateness in public interactions with children during official events.
