Amazon breaks silence as Summer I Turned Pretty set leaks spread
Amazon asks TSITP fans to avoid visiting sets or sharing locations to protect cast, crew, and filming process

Amazon has issued a public appeal to fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty, urging them not to visit filming locations or share set details online as production begins on the upcoming movie adaptation.
The streaming platform made the request via its official social media channels, citing safety and privacy concerns for the cast and crew. The film, which will serve as the conclusion to the popular series, is currently being shot in North Carolina.
Recent days have seen unauthorised images from the set circulate online, featuring lead actors Lola Tung and Christopher Briney. The spread of such content has prompted increased attention from fans attempting to locate filming sites.

In its statement, Amazon acknowledged fan enthusiasm but stressed that visiting active sets and sharing real-time locations could disrupt production and pose security risks. The company emphasised its efforts to maintain a controlled environment, describing it as a “protected bubble” necessary to complete filming effectively.
The project is based on the bestselling novels by Jenny Han and follows the story of Belly Conklin and her relationships with brothers Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. The series has been a major success for Prime Video since its debut, attracting millions of viewers globally.
Amazon has previously addressed similar concerns about fan behaviour, highlighting the importance of respecting boundaries between audiences and production teams. While anticipation for the final instalment remains high, the company has asked viewers to allow the creative process to unfold without interference.
A release date for the film has not yet been announced.
