Jacob Elordi is reportedly no longer being considered for the jury at the Cannes Film Festival following a recent injury.
According to a report by Page Six, a source claimed the actor suffered a broken foot, prompting organisers to look for a replacement. The report cited an unnamed insider, and the information has not been officially confirmed by either Elordi’s representatives or festival organisers.
The full jury lineup for the 2026 edition of the festival has yet to be announced. However, acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook has already been confirmed as this year’s jury president. The Cannes jury traditionally includes a mix of established industry figures and emerging talent from across the global film industry.
Elordi, 28, has seen a rise in prominence in recent years, with notable performances in major film projects and increasing industry recognition. His potential inclusion in the Cannes jury had been widely speculated, alongside other reported names linked to the event.
The festival, scheduled to run from May 12 to May 23, remains one of the most prestigious events in international cinema, drawing global attention for its premieres and jury selections.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether Elordi will officially withdraw or who may replace him if the reports prove accurate. Organisers have not issued a formal statement regarding the situation.
Further updates are expected as the final jury lineup is confirmed ahead of the festival’s opening.
