Ex-JPMorgan banker Chirayu Rana resurfaces in viral NYC fashion clip as father addresses lawsuit involving Lorna Hajdini
Former JPMorgan banker Chirayu Rana has resurfaced in a viral New York street-fashion video just as scrutiny intensifies over the now-withdrawn sexual harassment lawsuit that thrust him into the spotlight.
Rana, 35, was filmed in Midtown Manhattan in May 2024 by TikTok creator Michaela Bublikova, who runs a street-style series featuring sharply dressed men around the city. In the clip, he is seen waiting at a crosswalk near East 54th Street and Park Avenue, dressed in a dark suit, open-collar shirt and black dress shoes.
The video recently began circulating widely after viewers identified Rana following coverage of his legal battle with JPMorgan executive Lorna Hajdini.

Bublikova told the New York Post that she had no interaction with Rana at the time and chose to feature him simply because his style fit the theme of her page. Only later did she realize the clip had become tied to a much bigger story.
The renewed attention comes after Rana filed explosive allegations against Hajdini, accusing the senior executive of drugging him and forcing him into a sexually abusive relationship. Hajdini has strongly denied the claims.
JPMorgan later said an internal investigation reviewing emails, phone records and witness statements found no evidence supporting the accusations.
As the controversy grew, Rana’s father spoke briefly with the New York Post outside the family’s home in Vienna, saying he was unaware of the specifics of the case but continued to support his son.
“I don’t know anything about it,” he said. “He’s my son. He’s a good guy.”
Rana’s background has also come under renewed scrutiny. Before working on Wall Street, he played competitive soccer in high school and college, including appearances for Marymount University and Rutgers University–Newark.
After graduating, he built a résumé that included roles at Houlihan Lokey, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and The Carlyle Group before joining JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team in 2024.
His relationship with the bank later deteriorated. By May 2025, Rana had filed an internal complaint alleging race- and gender-based harassment and retaliation. He later joined Bregal Sagemount but left the firm just weeks before filing the lawsuit that brought national attention.
Rana has not publicly commented on the latest developments.
