Palace slammed over alleged attempts to bury former prince Andrew's Epstein scandal

The British royalty is being accused of threatening media outlets 'in a million different ways'

Britain’s royal family is facing fresh criticism after new claims resurfaced alleging that the Palace attempted to suppress reporting on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his links to Jeffrey Epstein as early as 2015.

According to reports, the monarchy, often referred to as “the Firm”, is being accused of threatening media outlets “in a million different ways” to drop the story connecting Andrew to Epstein, reigniting long-standing concerns about a potential cover-up.

The criticism has been amplified by royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who questioned whether institutional priorities within the Palace took precedence over addressing serious allegations. He pointed to earlier claims that media organisations were pressured to abandon investigations into Andrew’s association with Epstein, raising concerns about how such actions may have impacted public awareness of the scandal.

The controversy ties back to allegations made by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers, who claimed she was trafficked and abused by Epstein and forced into encounters with Andrew, allegations he has consistently denied.

The renewed scrutiny comes amid broader fallout from newly released Epstein-related documents and ongoing investigations into individuals connected to the financier. In recent months, Andrew’s ties to Epstein have already triggered major consequences, including the loss of royal titles and mounting legal pressure.

Critics argue that if earlier reporting had not been allegedly suppressed, greater accountability might have come sooner. The debate has fueled wider questions about transparency within the monarchy and whether institutional influence may have delayed public scrutiny of one of the most high-profile abuse scandals in recent history.

Buckingham Palace has not publicly addressed the latest claims.
