Following an explosive Season 4 finale, Invincible is officially set to return, with Prime Video confirming that Season 5 will premiere sometime in 2027.

While an exact release date hasn’t been announced, the update came via the show’s official social media, marking the first major news since the latest season wrapped.

The Season 5 announcement also confirmed the return of key antagonists Thragg and Dinosaurus, hinting at where the story is headed next. Dinosaurus, in particular, is expected to play a much larger role, driven by a belief that mass destruction can be justified if it ultimately saves more lives. Meanwhile, Thragg’s continued presence suggests his conflict with Mark is far from over.

Notably, Conquest will not return following his definitive death in Season 4.

The 2027 release window aligns with the show’s recent rollout pattern. After a long gap between Seasons 1 and 2, Invincible has shifted into a more consistent schedule, with new seasons arriving annually since 2024. Based on that trend, Season 5 will likely premiere in early 2027.

Beyond the Viltrumite storyline, the upcoming season is also expected to revisit unresolved arcs, including the fate of Robot and Monster Girl, who remain stranded in another dimension.

While Mark may have stopped an immediate invasion, the larger conflict, and its consequences, suggest the story is only getting more complex from here.
