Jack Antonoff is setting the record straight on his working relationship with Taylor Swift, making it clear there’s no tension despite her recent collaborations with other producers.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Antonoff addressed speculation about why he wasn’t involved in Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. He said he fully supports her decision to explore new creative directions, emphasisng that he understands the need for artists to “jump around” and work with different collaborators.

“I only feel grateful for the work that has happened,” Antonoff said of their long-running partnership, which has spanned over a decade and multiple albums.

The producer, who has been a key creative force behind Swift’s sound since 1989, added that constantly working with the same people isn’t always the norm in music, describing their continued collaboration as something of a “weird miracle.”

Swift’s latest project saw her reunite with producers Max Martin and Shellback, marking a shift after years of frequent collaboration with Antonoff. Still, both artists have publicly affirmed that their personal and professional relationship remains strong.

In fact, Swift recently referred to Antonoff as “one of my best friends,” highlighting their unique creative bond, including their signature songwriting technique known as the “rant bridge”, an emotionally intense, stream-of-consciousness section featured in several of her songs.

Antonoff’s comments reinforce that the change in collaborators is purely artistic, not personal, underscoring a partnership that continues to evolve even as Swift experiments with new sounds.
