Balochistan targets most-wanted terrorists
The Balochistan government has introduced an aggressive strategy to restore law and order and completely eliminate terrorism.
In this regard Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langov chaired a high-level meeting.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of the reward policy for the arrest of most-wanted terrorists and criminal elements.
Provincial Education Minister Raheela Durrani also attended the meeting, while DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya and senior officials of the Home Department gave a comprehensive briefing on ongoing security operations across the province, intelligence-based operations, and the campaign against terrorists.
Officials said that the new policy would not only improve performance of security agencies but also encourage ordinary citizens to provide information against terrorists and criminals, enabling effective control of crime through public cooperation.
Langov said that all resources were being utilised to improve law and order situation in the province.
"We are utilising all available resources for this purpose. There will be no compromise on terrorism and crime."
He directed the authorities concerned to ensure full implementation of government decisions, further strengthen coordination among all law enforcement agencies, and accelerate targeted intelligence-based operations.
Participants of the meeting resolved to adopt a coordinated and comprehensive strategy to eliminate terrorism and organized crime. This strategy includes making the reward policy more effective, launching public awareness campaigns, and equipping security forces with modern tools and resources.
Officials stated that under the reward policy, lists of wanted terrorists are being updated, and substantial rewards will be set for their arrest to dismantle criminal networks.
