Kirsten Storms is facing a legal dispute after her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, was granted an emergency restraining order citing concerns over her mental health and their daughter’s safety.

According to court documents, Barash filed for the order after alleging that Storms was experiencing a “mental health crisis,” including reported delusions and hallucinations that raised concerns about her ability to care for their 12-year-old daughter.

Barash claimed that the situation escalated in 2025 when Storms allegedly told him she did not feel capable of taking care of their child during her parenting time. He also stated that she was later placed under a psychiatric hold following the episode.

The filing further detailed concerns about instability in her living situation, including periods where she reportedly moved between hotels and believed she was being followed. Financial difficulties and disputes with housing were also cited in the request for the restraining order.

A judge approved the emergency order, which currently allows Storms only supervised visitation with their daughter while the case is under review.

Storms, best known for her role on General Hospital, has not publicly addressed the restraining order. The situation has drawn attention not only because of the legal implications but also due to concerns surrounding her well-being.

The court is expected to review the status of the restraining order in the coming days as the case continues.
