Megan Thee Stallion to exit 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' early after historic broadway run
Megan's final performance will take place on May 1, instead of the previously scheduled May 17

Megan Thee Stallion is set to leave Moulin Rouge! The Musical earlier than planned, cutting short her historic Broadway debut.
The rapper, who began her run as nightclub impresario Harold Zidler on March 24 at New York’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre, confirmed that her final performance will take place on May 1, instead of the previously scheduled May 17.
In a message shared with fans, Megan expressed gratitude for the experience, calling it an honor to be part of the production and thanking the cast, crew, and supporters who showed up during her run.
Her casting marked a major milestone, as she became the first woman to play the role of Zidler in any production of the musical worldwide.
Despite the shortened run, her performances received strong reactions from audiences, with the show continuing to draw attention following her debut.
The early exit comes after a series of personal and health challenges during her time on Broadway, including a brief hospitalisation and a recent public breakup, though no official reason has been confirmed for the schedule change.
Even with the earlier departure, Megan’s stint in Moulin Rouge! The Musical has been widely viewed as a standout moment in her career, marking a bold expansion from music into live theater.
