The first trailer for Spider-Noir has been released, offering an early look at Nicolas Cage portraying a noir-inspired version of Spider-Man.
The trailer debuted at CCXPMX26 in Mexico City on April 25.
The preview was presented by MGM+ and Prime Video, with cast members including Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston and Karen Rodriguez attending the event alongside creator and co-showrunner Oren Uziel.
In keeping with the show’s stylistic approach, the trailer has been made available in two formats, described as “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.”
The series is scheduled to premiere on May 25 on MGM+’s linear channel, followed by a global rollout on Prime Video on May 27.
The series is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir and features Cage in the lead role as Ben Reilly, a private investigator operating in 1930s New York.
The character is described as a struggling detective and the city’s only superhero, dealing with the impact of a personal tragedy while confronting elements of his past.
A video greeting from Cage preceded the screening at the event, where audiences were also shown an extended scene from the upcoming eight-episode series. Additional cast members include Abraham Popoola, Brendan Gleeson and Karen Rodriguez.
