‘PTI paid for helicopter used by CM for Kashmir visit’
Shafi pays tribute to PTI founder on the occasion of the party’s 30th foundation day

Shafi Jan, Special Assistant to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, has said that all expenses of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Kashmir’s visit including the official helicopter were paid from the party fund in line with Imran Khan’s vision.
“Avoiding the use of any government resources for the public gathering, Chief Minister has set a new and positive precedent of transparency and responsibility, one worthy of emulation by others,” he said.
He hailed Chief Minister recent visit to Azad Kashmir for the street movement as a major milestone in strengthening democracy, energising party workers, and enhancing public outreach.
He said the street movement would play a pivotal role in establishing the supremacy of the Constitution and law in the country and securing the release of Imran Khan.
Speaking to media representatives, Shafi Jan stated that in Azad Kashmir, too, mandate thieves had usurped power. “The people had given their mandate to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Imran Khan, but unfortunately, just like in Pakistan, the public mandate was stolen there as well,” he added.
He asserted that PTI remains the only political party with a presence in all four provinces, as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, whereas other political parties have been reduced to regional players.
The special assistant said the overwhelming reception given to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was proof that the people of Azad Kashmir stood firmly with PTI founder and chairman Imran Khan. He recalled that Imran Khan had always stressed protecting state resources and refraining from using them for political purposes. “Chief Minister truly considers government resources a trust of the people of the province,” Shafi Jan said.
He added that following the chief minister’s directives, the provincial government was adhering to a policy of austerity, and the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government remained strictly committed to the principles of transparency, merit, and accountability.
Meanwhile, Shafi Jan, has paid glowing tribute to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and party workers on the occasion of the party’s 30th foundation day, reaffirming the party’s commitment to justice, integrity, and constitutional supremacy.
