Netflix’s hit action thriller The Night Agent season 4 has expanded its cast with four major additions, as Titus Welliver, Trevante Rhodes, Li Jun Li and Elizabeth Lail join the series opposite lead Gabriel Basso.
The new season, produced by Sony Pictures Television, will continue the story of Peter Sutherland, with the series relocating its production from New York to Los Angeles. While character details remain largely under wraps, early reports suggest Welliver will play Duval, a special Department of Justice prosecutor investigating Night Action.
Rhodes is expected to portray Dom, Peter Sutherland’s new partner, while Li Jun Li will play Min, Dom’s wife. Elizabeth Lail is set to appear as Zoe, Peter’s former fiancée, marking a significant personal development in his storyline after previous seasons focused on his relationship with Rose Larkin.
Series creator Shawn Ryan has previously hinted that season 4 will explore internal scrutiny of Night Action, following concerns over its lack of oversight and growing political implications. The introduction of Duval is expected to intensify this conflict as he investigates the organisation’s operations.
Peter Sutherland’s evolving role within the agency will also be shaped by his new partner, with Dom potentially offering a more balanced perspective on life within Night Action. Zoe’s return adds further emotional complexity to Peter’s arc, reintroducing a past relationship that has only been briefly referenced in earlier seasons.
The casting continues The Night Agent tradition of introducing new ensembles each season while maintaining Gabriel Basso as the central lead. Previous seasons have also featured shifting supporting casts as the storyline resets with new missions.
Production is currently underway, with additional casting expected to be announced in the coming months.
