Crime: Robbers snatch cash, two cell phones

Two swindlers deprived a man of cash and valuables in the Saddar area on Saturday. Sajid Mahmood lodged a complain with the Saddar police that a group of six swindlers including a woman, snatched Rs10,000 cash and two mobile phones from him at gun point late Saturday. He was on way to Adiala Road from Gulraiz Colony when he was stopped by a woman near Ali Town, who asked for a lift. After covering some distance, the woman requested Mahmood to give lift to another man standing on a roadside, whom she identified as her brother. The man took out a pistol as soon as he sat on the back seat of the car and forced Mahmood to go to deserted place, where four other men were waiting for them. They beat up Mahmood and snatched Rs10,000 cash and two mobile phones from him. In another incident a house was burgled at Adiala Road on Saturday. Muhammad Ejaz told the Saddar police that thieves had entered his house by breaking the padlocks and taken away Rs300,000 cash.
