A$AP Rocky has praised his partner Rihanna, describing her as “magic” while reflecting on their relationship and family life.
In a recent interview with W Magazine published on April 21, the rapper spoke about his long-standing connection with Rihanna, which began as a friendship before becoming romantic in 2020.
“This woman has always been magic,” he said. “Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth. Her energy is unmatched—one of a kind.”
He added, “I just adore her.”
The couple, who share three children — RZA, Riot and their youngest daughter Rocki — balance their time between parenting and shared interests.
A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, said, “We have so many of the same interests. We were addicted to watching documentaries, like the Bob Marley one. Watching films together is so fun. We must’ve watched El Cantante 15 times.”
Reflecting on their journey, he noted how Rihanna’s life has evolved over the years. “She became a mother in that time span,” he said, adding that the experience brings change.
The rapper has also previously spoken about his own desire to become a parent. “I wanted to be a dad before I got with my girl,” he told Esquire earlier this year. “I wanted a little baby girl or boy, whatever God gave, and God blessed me with three.”
Discussing fatherhood, he said, “Being a girl dad at this point kinda makes you more vulnerable. And I’m ready for that stage in my life.” He added, “Being a dad in general is just amazing. And it’s life changing.”
Rihanna has similarly reflected on their relationship, noting, “COVID sped up our relationship, which I felt like God knew we needed because we were going to start a family.”
