Practical Magic 2 trailer teases magical return of Kidman and Bullock
Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reunite in Practical Magic 2, set for theatrical release on Sept 11, 2026

Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for Practical Magic 2, marking the long-awaited return of Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock nearly 28 years after the original film captivated audiences.
The fantasy sequel brings back Kidman and Bullock as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, continuing their story in a world filled with inherited witchcraft and supernatural challenges. Directed by Susanne Bier, the film is set for theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
According to the official synopsis, Practical Magic 2 follows the Owens sisters as they confront a dangerous ancestral curse that threatens to tear their family apart. The sequel expands the magical universe with a mix of fantasy, drama, and dark humor.
The cast features new additions including Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod. Original stars Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest also return as Aunt Frances and Aunt Jet, continuing their roles from the 1998 cult classic Practical Magic.
In the new story, Sally is seen navigating life with her adult daughters, while Gillian has embraced a quieter existence. However, a mysterious figure played by Lee Pace disrupts their peaceful lives, drawing them into a new supernatural mission.
The screenplay is written by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett, based on The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman, the fourth novel in her Practical Magic series. The film is produced by Denise DiNovi, Bullock, and Kidman, with Hoffman serving as executive producer.
The trailer highlights a darker, more mature tone while maintaining the charm of the original film, positioning Practical Magic 2 as one of the most anticipated fantasy sequels of the year.
