Capcom has announced that its newly released title Pragmata has surpassed one million copies sold worldwide within two days of launch.

The action-adventure game, released on April 17, marks a strong commercial start for a new intellectual property. According to the company, the title reached the milestone despite not being available on Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan.

Capcom highlighted its marketing strategy as a contributing factor to the early sales performance. The publisher noted that a pre-release demo allowed players to experience the gameplay and gain familiarity with the title.

The game had also been wishlisted more than one million times prior to release, indicating early interest among players.

Pragmata has received a positive response from both players and critics following its launch. On Steam, the game holds a 97% positive review rating, placing it among the highest-rated titles in Capcom’s catalogue on the platform.

Data also shows a SteamDB rating of 93.87%, positioning it close to other Capcom releases including Resident Evil Requiem and Resident Evil 4.

The game’s performance has also been reflected in market activity, with Capcom’s stock reportedly rising by 10% following the release and positive reception.

The publisher has maintained a consistent performance in recent years, with its last five titles achieving scores above 80 on review aggregation platforms.

Pragmata experienced multiple delays before its eventual release. Initially announced in 2020 with a planned 2022 launch, the game was later postponed to allow additional development time.
