James Gunn brings Andre Royo aboard 'Man of Tomorrow' in Superman sequel
Andre Royo, famed for 'The Wire' and 'Fringe,' joins the cast of the upcoming superhero film 'Man of Tomorrow'

Andre Royo, the acclaimed actor best known for his iconic portrayal of Reginald "Bubbles" Cousins on the HBO crime drama The Wire, has officially been cast in the upcoming film Man of Tomorrow.
The announcement adds a distinguished character actor to the project's roster. Royo, whose career spans over two decades, is widely respected for his transformative performance on The Wire, a role so convincing that a Baltimore resident once famously offered him heroin on the street—an incident Royo calls his "street Oscar".

Beyond his work in Baltimore, Royo has demonstrated significant range across both television and film. He appeared as a cab driver in the parallel universe on the Fox series Fringe and played the shifty defense attorney Thirsty Rawlings on the FOX drama Empire. His film credits include roles in The Spectacular Now, Beautiful Boy, and Super.
Man of Tomorrow is currently in pre-production, with further casting announcements expected soon. Royo joins a growing ensemble for the anticipated superhero feature.
