Beef season 3 has not yet been confirmed by Netflix, following the release of the second season of the anthology series on April 16.

The first season of Beef premiered in April 2023 and received multiple Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, with acting wins for Ali Wong and Steven Yeun.

More than three years later, the second instalment introduced a new ensemble featuring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny and Youn Yuh-jung.

Series creator Lee Sung Jin has previously described the show as an anthology concept, explaining that each season would centre on new characters and a different central conflict.

He said, "I always thought a show called Beef — where every season there are new characters, there’s a new 'beef' — would be fun."

Despite the absence of an official renewal, Lee has indicated that he has considered the show’s long-term direction.

Reflecting on the first season’s conclusion, he said, "I wanted it to have a conclusive feel just in case, but there are a lot of ideas on my end to keep this story going."

He added, "I have one really big general idea that I can’t really say yet, but I have three seasons mapped out in my head currently."

However, Lee also suggested that the series could conclude with its current run. Speaking at the season two premiere in April 2026, he said he was "perfectly happy with this being the last season."

He added, "But if the universe shoves something else in my face that I have to respond to, I'm always trying to remain open."

Both seasons of Beef are currently available to stream on Netflix.
