Avengers Endgame re-release will feature new Doomsday footage, creating a bridge to Marvel’s next phase

Avengers: Endgame is set to return to theaters with previously unreleased footage, as filmmaker Joe Russo confirmed new details about the upcoming re-release.
The updated version will include scenes connected to Avengers: Doomsday, offering a narrative bridge between the two major Marvel Cinematic Universe entries.

Originally released in 2019, Avengers: Endgame became one of the highest-grossing films of all time, earning nearly $2.8 billion globally. The film concluded several major character arcs, including that of Tony Stark, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.. In a notable development, Downey Jr. is set to return to the Marvel universe as Doctor Doom in the upcoming installment.
Russo also emphasized Marvel Studios’ focus on serialized storytelling, aiming to create interconnected narratives across multiple films. The re-release, scheduled for September 25, is expected to attract both longtime fans and new audiences eager to revisit the story with added context.
Further details about the new footage remain limited, but the project highlights Marvel’s continued strategy of expanding its cinematic universe through interconnected storytelling and theatrical events.
