QUETTA:

Two brothers were shot dead in a targeted attack at their residence in the Kasi Road area of Quetta on Friday evening, police said. According to police, an unidentified man arrived in a vehicle at the home of former Deputy Director of the Balochistan Board, Haji Atalullah, located on Abdul Majid Street, around dusk on April 17.

The assailant knocked on the door and began arguing heatedly when Atalullah's elder son, Saadatullah, came out to respond. Hearing the commotion, the younger brother, Aminullah, also stepped outside. The gunman then opened fire on both brothers before fleeing the scene on foot, abandoning the vehicle. Both Saadatullah and Aminullah were killed instantly. A large contingent of police rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area, and shifted the bodies to a hospital for formalities.

The remains were later handed over to the family. Qaidabad police registered a case and transferred the investigation to the Serious Crime Investigation Wing. No motive has been established so far, and no arrests have been made. The incident has caused fear and tension in the locality.
