Jennifer Stone returns as Harper Finkle in 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' final season on Disney+ this summer

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is bringing back original cast member Jennifer Stone, who will reprise her role as Harper Finkle in the show’s third and final season. 

The announcement, first reported by Variety, confirms Stone’s return to the Disney franchise, which continues the story of the hit series Wizards of Waverly Place.

Stone will appear as a guest star, reuniting with the magical world where she played Harper Finkle, the non-magical best friend of Alex Russo, originally portrayed by Selena Gomez. Her return marks another nostalgic appearance from the original cast as the sequel series approaches its conclusion.

The upcoming final season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place continues Disney’s strategy of expanding legacy franchises for modern audiences. The series stars David Henrie in the lead role, while additional returning cast members include Gomez, Maria Canals Barrera, and David DeLuise. Gregg Sulkin is also expected to appear as Mason Greyback.

According to the official storyline, the final season follows Billie, played by Janice LeAnn Brown, as she searches for a way to save her mother while confronting a growing magical threat. The season will focus on family reunions, lost characters, and the power of the Russo legacy as the group prepares for a final battle.

Jennifer Stone’s return is particularly notable as it marks her first credited television role since 2019. After stepping away from acting to study nursing, she returned to entertainment with independent projects before rejoining the Disney franchise.

The final season will consist of four episodes and will stream this summer across Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney’s on-demand services.
