Sandra Bullock says she prioritises motherhood while filming: 'I’m raising my children'
Bullock's return to acting was intentionally timed so it wouldn’t interfere with her children’s routines

Sandra Bullock is opening up about how she balances her Hollywood career with motherhood, making it clear that her children always come first.
Speaking at the CNBC Changemakers Summit, Bullock emphasised that her focus remains firmly on her role as a parent, saying, “I’m raising my children, not anybody else.”
The Oscar-winning actress, who is mother to two children, Louis and Laila, explained that she carefully plans her work schedule around them. Her return to acting, including her upcoming film Practical Magic 2, was intentionally timed so it wouldn’t interfere with her children’s routines, particularly their school schedules.
Bullock has taken a step back from Hollywood in recent years, including a multi-year hiatus, to focus on her family. She acknowledged that she is in a privileged position to make those choices, allowing her to be more present in her children’s lives.
Her comments come after a period of personal healing following the 2023 death of her longtime partner, Bryan Randall. During that time, Bullock prioritised spending time with her children and ensuring their well-being before returning to work.
Now preparing for her return to the screen, Bullock said she is in a “good place” and excited about what’s ahead but remains firm that motherhood will continue to guide her decisions.
