Christina Applegate breaks silence through statement after hospitalization report

Christina Applegate’s representative has responded after a TMZ report claimed the actress has been hospitalized in Los Angeles since late March.

In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, the rep declined to confirm whether Applegate is currently in the hospital or discuss any specific treatments. However, they noted that the actress has a long history of complex medical issues that she has openly discussed in recent years.

Applegate, 54, revealed in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis. Since then, she has spoken candidly about the physical pain and health complications she faces.

On her podcast MeSsy podcast, Applegate previously shared that she had been hospitalized numerous times due to vomiting, pain, and other symptoms. She also revealed last year that she spent time in the hospital with a kidney infection.

The actress has continued to be open about how the illness has affected her daily life, including chronic pain, mobility struggles, and fears about the future.

Applegate is also mother to 15-year-old daughter Sadie, whom she has described as a major source of strength throughout her health battle.
