SIALKOT:
There is an acute shortage of the paracetamol, calpol syrup, anti-allergy medicines and injections in medical stores in Sialkot. Doctors have said that these syrups were in high demand and were being used to reduce fever symptoms and were also helpful in controlling the dengue virus. When contacted, medical store owners said that the Punjab government was purchasing such medicine and syrups in bulk from pharmaceuticals to supply them to government hospitals to help curb the dengue epidemic. They said that the pharmaceuticals were not supplying the medicines to the medical stores any longer.
