Season 4 of The White Lotus is officially underway, with HBO confirming that the new installment will be set during the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on the French Riviera.
According to details reported by Variety, the upcoming season will follow a fresh group of hotel guests and staff over the course of a week, continuing the show’s signature satirical take on wealth, privilege, and social dynamics.
Filming has begun across several high-profile locations in France, including Cannes, St. Tropez, Monaco, and Paris, with the story primarily set along the Côte d’Azur. Featured hotels include the Airelles Château de la Messardière and the Hôtel Martinez, which will serve as fictional White Lotus properties in the series.
The ensemble cast for Season 4 includes Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rosie Perez, among others.
Created by Mike White, the series has earned critical acclaim for its storytelling and ensemble performances. White returns as writer, director, and executive producer for the new season.
While the storyline unfolds during the Cannes Film Festival, it remains unclear whether production will coincide with the real-life 2026 event, scheduled for May.
With a new setting, expanded cast, and high-profile backdrop, Season 4 of The White Lotus is expected to be one of HBO’s most anticipated releases.
