TOKYO:
Chen Long claimed his second title in two weeks when he shocked world number one Lee Chong Wei to win the men’s singles title at the Japan Open. The fourth seed, fresh from glory at the China Masters last weekend, dashed the Malaysian’s defence of the title with a 21-8, 10-21, 21-19 victory. “It’s exciting. I didn’t think about anything during the match. I’m younger and Lee is strong. I was just lucky to win today,” said Chen, 22, after winning the Japan Open for the first time in his career.
