Avengers: Doomsday is already generating excitement after reports of a private test screening revealed highly positive early reactions.

According to online insiders, Marvel Studios recently screened a pre-reshoots version of the film for select attendees, including studio president Kevin Feige. Those who reportedly viewed the cut were said to be impressed, with some even describing it as one of the best Marvel films to date.

Industry commentator Robert Meyer Burnett also weighed in, claiming the project has strong potential and comparing its reception to that of Avengers: Infinity War during early stages.

The version screened was reportedly prior to scheduled reshoots, which are expected to begin soon. These reshoots are said to focus largely on adding more character-driven moments, particularly involving actors who were unavailable during initial filming.

Marvel is also expected to spotlight the film at CinemaCon 2026, where early footage such as a teaser or first-look trailer could be unveiled. The studio has already begun promoting the project at the event, signaling confidence in its upcoming release.

Directed by Russo Brothers and written by longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely alongside Michael Waldron, the film is shaping up to be a major entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The story is expected to center around the arrival of Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., as a powerful new threat emerges across the multiverse.

With a massive ensemble cast including Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Florence Pugh, and Pedro Pascal, Avengers: Doomsday is positioned as one of Marvel’s most ambitious projects yet.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 18, 2026, with its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, set to arrive in 2027.
