Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has sought weekly progress reports on the Punjab Development Programme.
Chairing a meeting, the chief minister directed the local government department to regularly submit detailed reports on ongoing projects in 51 cities.
She ordered that weekly progress reports be presented to help monitor the advancement of 'model village' projects.
The chief minister was informed that development schemes were currently in progress across 51 cities under the Punjab Local Government and Community Development Department.
The provision of essential machinery has been planned, including desilting machines, 45 jetting machines and 100 dewatering sets, to improve municipal services.
The chief minister ordered that waste containers and garbage drums must be kept clean regularly.
Officials said installation of the province's first high-density polyethylene pipeline plant would commence on April 20. A similar plant will also be established in South Punjab.
During the meeting, a visual review of development projects under way in each tehsil was conducted through a gallery, while a live dashboard presented comprehensive financial and physical progress reports of all projects.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that more projects have been completed in the past two years than in the five years previously.
She emphasized that, following the early completion of water and sanitation projects, full focus should be directed towards urban beautification initiatives.
Meanwhile, as negotiations between Iran and the United States began in Islamabad to end their war, Chief Minister Maryam Naeaz stated in social media posts that in these historic moments that reinforce national unity, every Pakistani is filled with pride.
Owing to unparalleled reconciliatory efforts of the Pakistani leadership, countless innocent lives were safeguarded, and the world was saved from a major tragedy, she added.
"This is the true essence of real leadership," she remarked.
She said few could have imagined that the nation would play a leading role on the global stage, "yet today this vision has become a reality".
