LHC demands details of increase in power tariff

The Lahore High Court (LHC)  has ordered Nepra and Pepco to provide details of the recent 7.6 per cent increase in the power tariff.

The court's directives come in response to an application filed against the rise in power tariff by Media Advisor of the Save Judiciary Committee, Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi. The petitioner requested that the tariff hike be revoked.

The Lahore High court has demanded an explanation for the rise in power tariff. This comes at a time when another case against a previous power tariff hike had still not been closed.
