Blake Lively has named her husband Ryan Reynolds as a key witness in her upcoming legal battle tied to It Ends with Us, as the case moves closer to trial.

According to a new court filing, Lively included Reynolds among the individuals she wants a jury to hear from when proceedings begin on May 18 in New York. She is also expected to testify herself, alongside co-star and director Justin Baldoni.

Reynolds is expected to provide testimony about the film’s production and promotion, as well as the alleged retaliation and damages at the center of Lively’s claims.

The witness list also includes several cast members and industry figures, such as Jenny Slate, Isabela Ferrer, and author Colleen Hoover, whose novel the film is based on. Some witnesses are expected to testify in person, while others may appear via deposition.

Lively’s legal team is aiming to demonstrate what they describe as a retaliatory campaign tied to the film’s production and promotion. The actress is seeking significant financial damages, estimated to range between $142 million and $300 million.

The case stems from a lawsuit Lively filed in December 2024, in which she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign, claims he has denied. A judge recently dismissed 10 of her 13 claims, including harassment and defamation, while allowing a smaller set of allegations, including breach of contract and retaliation, to proceed to trial.

As the trial date approaches, both sides continue to dispute what evidence and testimony should be presented in court, setting the stage for a high-profile legal showdown involving several Hollywood figures.
