Jasveen Sangha, widely referred to in reporting as the ‘Ketamine Queen’, made an emotional plea for forgiveness during her final court appearance ahead of sentencing in a case connected to the death of Matthew Perry.

The hearing, held as part of proceedings tied to the distribution of Ketamine, marked a significant moment in a case that has drawn international attention due to Perry’s global fame and the circumstances surrounding his death in 2023. Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the television series Friends, was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, prompting multiple investigations into the supply chain of controlled substances linked to the actor.

During the courtroom appearance, Sangha addressed the judge directly and reportedly asked for mercy, expressing remorse for her actions and the consequences that followed. Her statement focused on seeking forgiveness, with the tone of the hearing described by observers as emotional as she acknowledged the seriousness of the charges against her.

Prosecutors in the case have argued that Sangha played a role in supplying ketamine outside of regulated medical channels. Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic approved for medical use in controlled environments, but authorities have repeatedly warned about its dangers when misused or distributed without supervision. The prosecution has maintained that unregulated access to the substance can have severe and sometimes fatal consequences.

The defence, meanwhile, has focused on context and intent during the proceedings, while also highlighting Sangha’s personal circumstances. However, the central issue before the court remained her responsibility within the broader chain of distribution that investigators believe contributed to the events leading up to Perry’s death.

Public interest in the case has remained high throughout the legal process, with each court development widely discussed across entertainment news platforms and social media. The combination of a high profile Hollywood figure and allegations involving controlled substances has intensified scrutiny of prescription drug misuse and informal supply networks.

Sangha’s emotional appeal for forgiveness came at the close of proceedings before sentencing, as she urged the court to consider her plea for leniency.

The proceedings have also renewed broader discussion about ketamine regulation and accountability in medical and non medical contexts, with experts continuing to emphasise the importance of strict controls around its distribution and use.
