Theo James has opened up about his concerns as a father, admitting it feels “terrifying” to raise a son in today’s climate shaped by growing online influence and toxic masculinity.
Speaking on Great Chat Show, the actor reflected on how easily young boys can be drawn into harmful ideologies promoted in certain digital spaces.
James also pointed to broader societal influences, including the glorification of wealth and status, suggesting that empathy and moral conversations are often dismissed as “uncool.” This cultural shift, he said, makes it harder to instill balanced values in the next generation.
The actor further highlighted the growing issue of body image among men, noting increased pressure to achieve unrealistic physiques and a worrying rise in steroid use among younger audiences.
