Dar, French FM reaffirm cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday received a phone call from French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments and bilateral ties.
The French foreign minister congratulated Pakistan on its role in securing an initial ceasefire agreement and expressed support for Islamabad's continued efforts towards a diplomatic pathway for lasting peace and stability in the region.
Both sides voiced concern over serious ceasefire violations in Lebanon and underscored the importance of full implementation and respect for the agreement.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing economic and trade cooperation, agreeing to remain in close contact.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen, during which the two sides discussed regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Foreign Minister Berendsen commended Pakistan's role in facilitating the recent ceasefire and expressed support for its continued efforts to advance diplomacy aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs news release said.
The two foreign ministers also voiced concern over serious ceasefire violations in Lebanon and underscored the importance of ensuring full implementation of the ceasefire agreement to secure durable stability.
During the conversation, both leaders reaffirmed the strength of PakistanNetherlands relations and expressed their resolve to further expand cooperation in trade, economic, and investment sectors, reflecting a shared commitment to deepening bilateral engagement.
