Katseye member Manon will not join the group’s upcoming performance at the COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL, as her hiatus continues while she focuses on her health and well being.
The announcement was confirmed by Hybe on April 9 after growing speculation about whether the Swiss singer would return in time for the group’s major festival debut. According to the company, Manon remains on hiatus and will therefore not participate in the scheduled performance in Indio, California.
Katseye is expected to appear at COACHELLA on Friday, marking a significant moment for the global girl group, which was formed in 2024 through a collaboration between Hybe and Geffen Records. The group has been promoted as a multinational act designed to bridge the K pop industry with Western pop audiences.
Manon stepped away from activities earlier this year. In a statement released on February 5, Hybe and Geffen Records explained that she would pause her schedule to concentrate on her health and overall well being. The announcement did not provide a specific timeline for her return, leaving fans uncertain about her participation in upcoming events.
Questions about Manon’s status intensified in early April when observant fans noticed that she had removed Katseye’s name from her social media profile. The change sparked online speculation that the singer might be leaving the group entirely. Hybe declined to comment on those rumours when asked, maintaining only that Manon remains on hiatus.
Despite the absence, Katseye is continuing with its promotional activities and performances. The group is scheduled to release a new single titled “Pinky Up” shortly before its COACHELLA appearance. The track will be unveiled at 1am in Korea, and the festival performance is expected to include the song’s first live stage.
Concept images released ahead of the single’s launch have already circulated widely online, though Manon does not appear in the promotional material. The remaining members are expected to perform as scheduled at COACHELLA, introducing the new release to an international audience.
The festival appearance represents a high profile moment for Katseye as it continues its global rollout. COACHELLA has become one of the most influential music festivals in the world, and participation often serves as a major milestone for artists seeking international recognition.
For now, Hybe has not provided further details about when Manon may resume activities with Katseye. The company continues to emphasise that her hiatus is focused on health and recovery, while the group moves forward with its planned promotions and performances.
