Jake Paul has sparked debate after suggesting a controversial response to a recent comedy skit by Druski.

The boxer and social media personality made the remarks during an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, where the pair discussed Druski’s viral sketch referencing conservative women in the United States. The skit has drawn mixed reactions online, with some viewers comparing it to public figure Erika Kirk.

During the conversation, Paul revealed he had considered producing his own response. “I've been, over the last couple of days, calling makeup artists,” he said. “I was going to do a response to this and do the full-on...”

When Von asked, “Darker?”, Paul replied, “Yeah. And just do it back, because why not? Are we on the same playing field?”

The suggestion prompted discussion about the likely backlash such a move would generate. Von noted that blackface would attract significant criticism and suggested that collaboration with a prominent Black entertainer might mitigate the reaction. However, Paul rejected that approach.

“That's p**ying out,” he said. “Doesn't that make us more prejudiced if we have to partner with someone? Druski just dropped this. I f**ing love it. This is great. This is how humans should be. We should f***ing make fun of each other. And I don't see in color. I see in truth and comedy. So what are we talking about? What era are we living in?”

The discussion also referenced past controversies involving public figures including Justin Trudeau and Jimmy Kimmel.

Druski’s original skit has already attracted criticism, particularly from conservative commentators. Reports also indicate that US President Donald Trump encouraged legal action in response to the sketch.
